Informational Open House Scheduled for May 30, 2024

Earthrise Energy will host an informational open house about its proposed solar project in Ford County on Thursday, May 30.

The proposed Gibson City Energy Center – Solar 2 project would be built on privately owned land and generate enough renewable energy to power over 23,000 homes. In addition to supporting grid reliability and the country’s energy security, the project will generate significant economic benefits for the local community.

Experts from Earthrise Energy will be on hand to answer questions about the project during the open house, which is scheduled between 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. at the Moyer District Library Meeting Room, located at 618 S. Sangamon Ave. Gibson City, IL.
