FAQ - Earthrise Scholarship Program
How can I nominate a program for an Earthrise scholarship?
If you know of an existing program — not an individual — that could benefit from an Earthrise scholarship, we want to hear from you! This program is designed for community members who wish to nominate local programs, such as summer camps, early learning centers, or community colleges. The nominated programs will receive scholarship funds that they can manage and deliver to students, helping expand access to educational opportunities in your community.
Can individual students apply for a scholarship/financial aid?
No, this scholarship program is not for individual students to apply for. It is designed for community members who want to nominate established programs that would benefit from scholarship funds. We are looking for local programs, such as summer camps, early childhood centers, and community colleges, that would be able to manage and distribute the scholarship funds to support their educational offerings.
What types of programs are eligible for a scholarship?
We welcome nominations for a wide range of educational programs. These can include summer camps for kids, early learning centers, community colleges, or any other educational initiative that could benefit from additional funding to support students’ learning experiences.
Who can nominate a program for a scholarship?
Any community member can nominate an educational program for an Earthrise scholarship. Whether you’re a parent, educator, local leader, or just someone passionate about education, we encourage you to submit a nomination for programs that could use extra support to enhance their educational offerings.
What do the scholarship funds cover?
The scholarship funds will be managed by the nominated programs, and how the funds are used will be up to each program. Funds could be used for tuition assistance, supplies, or other educational resources that directly benefit the students in the program.
How do I submit a nomination for a program?
To submit a nomination, simply fill out the nomination form on our website, providing details about the program you are nominating, including how they will use the scholarship funds and the impact it could have on their students. Our team will review all submissions and follow up with the nominated programs directly.
Is there a deadline to submit a nomination?
No, there are no deadlines for submitting nominations. We review these nominations on a rolling basis.Â
Can the funds be used for programs outside of educational institutions?
While our main focus is on educational programs, we will consider nominations for programs that contribute to educational development in other ways, such as mentorship initiatives or community-based learning programs. We encourage you to check out our Nominate a Non-Profit page for more information.Â
Are there any restrictions on who can receive a scholarship?
The scholarship funds are intended to support educational programs that have a clear impact on local communities. We do not accept nominations for individual scholarships or personal financial aid. Additionally, the program must be based in the Earthrise community and aligned with Earthrise's mission to support education and growth.
