Steve Vavrik is a proven renewable energy leader with 20 years of project development and operations experience at pioneering energy transition companies. He has developed over 6 GW of operating energy projects including wind, solar, and standalone battery power plants. Most recently, he was CEO and co-founder of Broad Reach Power, one of the leading, standalone battery owner/operators in the US with over 350 MW of operating utility-scale battery projects and over 1000 MW under construction. Prior to Broad Reach Power, Steve was Chief Commercial Officer at Apex Clean Energy, one of the largest renewable energy IPPs in the US. Steve has also held positions at SunPower, First Wind, PPM Energy, Dynegy, Enron, and GE Capital.

Steve earned a JD from Yale Law School, a Masters in Public Policy from Princeton University, and a Masters and Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
