Jeff Hunter

Jeff Hunter serves as the Chief Financial Officer for Earthrise Energy. Before joining Earthrise in 2023, Jeff was a Senior Advisor, Infrastructure and Natural Resources at Apollo Global Management, where he focused on energy transition opportunities. Prior to joining Apollo in 2019, he served as Senior Managing Director and Co-head of North America of Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners, an infrastructure investor focused on low carbon solutions. Before Quinbrook, he co-founded and served as Chief Financial Officer of Eastern Generating (fka USPOWERGEN), a sponsor-backed operating company of thermal assets in New York and Boston. Jeff also served as Practice Head of Energy Strategy & Risk Management for PA Consulting Group. In this global consulting role, he worked on matters covering risk management, power plant project finance support, electricity market design, and seconded management to power companies. Before that role, Jeff worked in commodities trading for El Paso Energy as Vice President of Physical Trading. During his career, Jeff has served as an independent member of the board of directors of several public and private companies or affiliates, including Vistra Energy, Green Impact Partners, GlidePath Power Solutions, Scout Clean Energy, Arevia Power, Texas Transmission Holdings, US Power Generating Company, Homer City Generating Company, MachGen, Four Point Energy, Pacific Drilling, and MachGen Holdings. Jeff graduated with a Bachelor of Science in economics from the University of Texas at Austin.
