Earthrise Energy, PBC, an independent power producer founded to accelerate the clean energy transition, has launched the RISE Grant program, to provide financial resources to nonprofits helping the local communities where Earthrise operates.

Open to registered 501(c) nonprofits, the grant program seeks to provide funding for initiatives that support excellence in education with a particular focus on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), protect the environment, and serve the community through health and safety programs. In 2022, grant applications are being accepted on a rolling basis and will be judged on several factors such as impact on the communities where Earthrise has operations, which includes Cumberland, Ford, Kankakee, McLean, Shelby, Vermilion, and Will counties in Illinois.

“As a public benefit corporation, Earthrise was founded with a goal to align our business goals with the long-term needs of all our stakeholders for the public good. The RISE Grant program is one of the ways we seek to fulfill that commitment and invest in the future of our local communities,” said Carla Tully, CEO of Earthrise. “We hope the RISE Grant program will serve as a vital resource to nonprofits making a difference in the lives of local residents and power their progress.”
