Greg Gleason
Greg Gleason serves as the Head of Information Technology for Earthrise Energy where he sets the IT direction of the organization. In his role, Greg is responsible for developing and implementing IT strategies that drive operational efficiency, enable business growth, and ensure information security. Greg brings to his role more than 30 years of experience and a proven track record of launching and managing enterprise technology platforms that increase efficiency, drive innovation, and advance business strategy for billion-dollar enterprises.
Prior to joining Earthrise Energy, Greg was the Director of IT and Infrastructure Operations at Bluepeak, a startup internet provider. There he was responsible for developing IT strategies that enabled the company’s growth strategy to develop high-speed, fiber-to-the-home networks.
From 2019 to 2021, Greg served as the Vice President of IT at Farmers Business Network, a farmer-to-farmer network and e-commerce platform serving more than 12,000 members farming more than 40 million acres across the United States and Canada. Prior to joining Farmers Business Network, Greg worked at POET from 2006 to 2019. During his tenure at POET, Greg quickly rose through the ranks to become Chief Information Officer and was instrumental in helping to grow POET into one of the largest biofuel companies in the United States. Before his role at POET, Greg served as the Director of IT Infrastructure at Northwestern Corporation/DBA Northwestern Energy, where he helped create a technology roadmap for the utility company and provided strategic direction to corporate technology initiatives. This work included monitoring large enterprise-wide projects and implementations and deploying systems that enabled a mobile workforce prior to the widespread adoption of smartphone technology.
Greg earned a Bachelor of Science in Applied Science and Technology from Black Hills State University in 1991.
