Renewable Energy Project
Project Overview
Learn about the Plum Valley Creek Project in Will County, IL
BUILDING FOR THE FUTURE
The Plum Valley Creek Project is a proposed 600MW solar project in Will County, Illinois. The project will generate enough clean, renewable electricity to power more than 100,000 homes. The project will be sited on land leased from private landowners and located near Earthrise Energy’s natural gas plant, the Lincoln Energy Center. The 600MW project will be split into two phases of 300MW each, although will commence construction at the same time following permit approval.

Championing Landowner Property Rights
Landowners will retain ownership of the land during and after the lease and may choose to resume farming after the lease expires. Local landowners leasing land for the project will receive long-term rents with fixed escalators, providing a significant amount of new revenue to the local economy and allowing landowners to diversify their income sources.
Protecting our Environment
Plum Valley Creek will prioritize environmental stewardship. Earthrise Energy will work alongside community and county officials, and in coordination with regulatory agencies, to prevent impacts to environmentally sensitive areas in and near the project.
