Northwest Solar Construction Update

As construction continues to ramp up, for your safety and the safety of site workers, please review the following safety guidelines:
Do Not Enter Active Work Zones
Access to construction areas is prohibited unless you are authorized and escorted by an Earthrise site representative.
Moving Heavy Equipment
Earthmoving equipment and other large vehicles are operating throughout the project site. This equipment has limited visibility and requires ample space to maneuver. Always remain alert and keep a minimum distance of 200 feet. Never approach equipment from behind, and do not assume the operator sees you.
Open Trenches & Excavations
Deep trenching work is underway. These areas can pose serious fall and engulfment hazards. Entry is restricted to authorized personnel only. All excavation zones are marked for protection.
We appreciate your cooperation as we work to complete this project safely. If you have questions or concerns, please contact our Safety Manager, Heather Kent at heather.kent@earthriseenergy.com

February & March, 2026

During the first week of February, the Earthrise team met 1:1 with many easement and array landowners for both Northwest and Glacier Moraine. We had wonderful conversations and are grateful for everyone who either stopped by in person or spoke with us over the phone. We have begun light mobilization for Northwest Solar and you should see some light activities in the area as the crews get set up for full construction. As we approach our construction date for Northwest Solar, having these conversations early helps us note any pending items that our team can continue to work on. We still have some remaining items to button up and appreciate your continued collaboration as we continue to reach out to work through those various issues.

Another item that we are close to finishing is the Environmental Phase 1 Landowner Questionnaires. You might have heard from one of our Land Acquisitions team members who have been working diligently through the month of February to reach out and contact folks about these surveys.  If you still have questions around them, please reach out to Chris Mercer at chris.mercer@earthriseenergy.com. These surveys will be used to complete our Phase 1 refresh in preparation for financial closing. Attached to the email, please also find a copy of the Agricultural Impact Mitigation Agreement (AIMA) that was entered into with the state Department of Agriculture.

During the month of March, we are happy to say that our team had a successful turn out meeting with the local fire and police departments and emergency services to discuss construction road use. Through our conversations, we were able to establish new community connections and work with these entities to ensure that emergency personnel have our contact and are informed of our construction timelines.

Another exciting item that the Northwest Solar team completed was the executed Community Benefits Agreement with the Southeastern Illinois Community Foundation. Through this agreement, Earthrise has committed $158,000 to the City of Mattoon to pay the cost of a Watershed Management Plan for Lake Mattoon This Plan will be used as a first step to identify solutions to help in the face of the September 2025 Algae Bloom.

Our team will be back in Neoga between March 24-26! This will be an excellent opportunity to meet with us for any additional questions that you have! Please reach out to Margaret Songster at margaretsongster@earthriseenergy.com if there is a time that you would like to speak with a team member in person

Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to hearing from you!

January 22, 2026

To our Community,

We hope this message finds you well. As we continue to advance the Northwest and Glacier Moraine projects in Cumberland and Coles County, we want to take a moment to thank you for your partnership and provide key updates on our progress. We wanted to first thank everyone who was able to join us last month for our initial landowner construction introduction dinner. We were thrilled to connect with so many of you and share our progress to date as well as talk about construction practices and expectations. There were so many great conversations that came out of that dinner, and we look forward to continuing those discussions in the months ahead. Your insights, questions, and feedback are invaluable as we work together to advance our projects. Thank you for your continued support—we’re excited for what’s ahead! As we shared during the dinner, we’re committed to keeping you informed through regular newsletters and informational one on one meetings, starting now! We will be holding one on one meetings with Northwest Solar easement landowners to talk through details around the activities to come. If you are a Northwest solar easement landowner, please click the link below, or scan the QR code to schedule a time to meet with the project team on February 4, 2026. Array landowner one on one meetings will be held the first week of March. In the next few months, we many items to complete before mobilization on site and it will be with your collaboration and participation that will help everything flow smoothly and within the expectations of our landowners and community we are operating in. Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to speaking with you in person in February.
