Josh York

Josh York brings a broad range of experience in operational finance, energy market risk, power plant operations, asset management, and commercial operations to the Earthrise team. Prior to joining the company, Josh served as Vice President, Asset Management at Panda Power Funds. There he oversaw the commercial operations, asset management, plant operations, and risk functions for Panda Power Fund’s 5 GW fleet of combined cycle gas turbine facilities in the regional transmission organizations of PJM Interconnection and ERCOT. Before joining Panda Power Funds, Josh spent seven years at the AES Corporation, where he led the Global Commodity Risk team and was responsible for aggregating and analyzing commodity risk across AES’s international portfolio. He also held leadership positions within AES’s Financial Planning and Analysis groups. Before that, Josh worked at Direct Energy and managed financial planning and analysis activity for the company’s wind energy business. Josh began his career at Hewlett-Packard, working in a financial rotation program.

Josh earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Texas A&M University and an MBA from the University of Texas. He is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Collin County chapter of Big Brothers Big Sisters.
